For the second year, the law firm of Robert P. Schuster, P.C., of Jackson, Wyoming, has been recognized as one of the nation’s best law firms by U.S. News & World Report.

Bob Schuster and his firm appeared on the U.S. News Media Group 2011-2012 “Best Law Firms” rankings, marking the second edition of this highly anticipated annual analysis.

The tiered rankings put Schuster in Tier 1, the topmost tier for Commercial Litigation and for Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Litigation.

Schuster’s practice concentrates on complex commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense, and selected personal injury cases. Schuster has won the largest Wyoming jury verdict in the state’s history for personal injury damages: $17.5 million. He has obtained what is believed to be the largest personal injury settlement in the history of New Mexico and one of the largest in the United States, in excess of $100 million. His law office is based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, but his practice is nationwide.

The U.S. News “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process.

An unprecedented amount of data was collected in the project’s second year, and this combined data resulted in the 2011-2012 “Best Law Firms” rankings. To be eligible for a ranking, a law firm must have at least one lawyer who is included in Best Lawyers as part of the annual peer review assessment.

The national first-tier rankings will be featured in U.S.News & World Report’s Money issue, on newsstands November 15, 2011; the national and metropolitan first-tier rankings are featured in the “Best Law Firms” stand-alone publication, posted online at bestlawfirms.usnews.com.

Achieving a high ranking is a special distinction that signals a unique combination of excellence and breadth of expertise, U.S. News stated in its news release announcing the rankings.

Schuster also has consistently received the highest possible rating from his fellow lawyers as “AV Preeminent” in Martindale-Hubbell, the national and international encyclopedia of practicing lawyers. He is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for his achievements in both Commercial Litigation and Personal Injury Litigation. He is designated as a “Mountain States Super Lawyer” for Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Litigation and Business Litigation and is recognized in Super Lawyers Business Edition for his Business Litigation expertise.
